Revealing Untold Histories to Restore Cultural Legacy Restory
Embracing a rapidly evolving world, the rich tapestry of small communities’ cultural heritage often risks being overshadowed by the grandeur of monumental landmarks and well-known historical events. Recognizing this, the EU-funded RESTORY project embarks on a mission to uncover and celebrate the untold stories that form the backbone of these communities. By shifting focus from the often-highlighted monumental heritage to the more intimate and personal aspects of cultural history, RESTORY seeks to bring to light the overlooked treasures that define the unique identity and legacy of smaller, often marginalized communities.
The essence of the project lies in its innovative approach to storytelling, where textual and oral narratives are not merely collected but synergized to create a more holistic and vibrant portrayal of the past. This methodology acknowledges that the true essence of cultural heritage is often found not in grand structures or famous personalities, but in the everyday lives, traditions, and wisdom of ordinary people.
