An ordinary day in the life of Lali is paradoxically extraordinary. He claims that he communicates with metal. He claims that he can craft an UFO from copper. However, he remains honest. Even though the UFO would be a bit shaky, and it probably wouldn’t travel at the speed of light, he’s certain it would still be pretty awesome. The moments when he’s most “down to earth” is when he’s surrounded by his family at the lunch table, talking politics with his wife. Just an ordinary day is a documentary about the surreal passion of a Roma metal master and how his craft is what gives him purpose in life.
